The Project is a partnership between three organisations from Albania (T.I.C.A., Tirana), Bosnia and Herzegovina (SCCA/pro.ba, Sarajevo) and Serbia (kuda.org, Novi Sad), designed as a long term research and production project with multidisciplinary and multimedia approaches, focused on artistic practices and different media phenomena (individual and collective) and their perception, valuation and influence on the experiences of transition societies from perspectives of different generations. Socio-political images of those three countries are only the starting points for the project, which in a broad sense attempts to encompass past, present and future situations in community, transitional transformations of individual and collective identities in general, critically observing the Balkan’s position towards Europe and vice versa.

Case Studies

Comparative case studies are particular artistic and/or cultural researches focused on production of new theoretical and/or art works in printed, video media or exhibition formats. The case studies are realized within each partner organisation separately, while Cities Log research is a collaborative projects between all partner organisations. In general they develop in two directions – multimedia and multidisciplinary comparison within the framework of each individual subject, and comparison within the general framework of the project.

Individual Case studies

Workshops

Two types of workshops are organized during the project: workshops led by artist Lala Raščić who travels to different locations, and workshops led by expert lecturers Zlatan Filipović and Vedran Rešidbegović for emerging artists from three countries Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
